My field of research is magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), including the development of novel MRI methods as well as their translation towards clinical applications. After developing MRI data processing methods during my PhD (2014-2017), I focused on diffusion MRI research. During my first postdoc at the UMC Utrecht (PROVIDI Lab), I developed methods to extract combined perfusion/diffusion quantifications, to increase the accuracy of brain activation mapping, and novel approaches to improve brain fiber tractography both in white and grey matter. In 2020, I joined the VCI group of Prof. Biessels where I will focus on improving the white matter characterization in patients with small vessel disease.
